Xiaomi has just presented the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro and one thing is clear: the Pro model is the one to look for if you love mobile gaming and speed.
Both the Redmi K20 and the K20 Pro feature a 48 MP main camera and OLED panels with under-display fingerprint scanners. K20 runs on Snapdragon 730, while the Pro version is powered by Snapdragon 855.
The bezel-less smartphones have a 6.39-inch screen with a 19.5:9 tall ratio and Full HD+ resolution. While the Snapdragon 855 chipset was never a surprise, only now we have news regarding the smartphone’s storage. The K20 Pro comes in two versions, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB to 256 GB of internal storage.
The main camera module on the back features three cameras, a 48 MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13 MP secondary shooter featuring an ultra-wide-angle lens, along with an 8 MP telephoto unit. Also, the 960fps slow-mo video recording feature is as real as they come.
The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro’s selfie cameras feature 20 MP sensors with AI capabilities. As we told you previously, the 4,000 mAh battery capacity smartphone benefits of fast-charging (27W). Apparently, the headset can completely charge in 74 minutes.
Both handsets feature Game Turbo 2.0 mode which distributes resources to make intense gaming sessions smooth. Interestingly enough, the devices also decide to switch from Wi-Fi to 4G when they feel that the connection is poor so your game will have zero lag.
The Redmi K20 smartphone come in Red or Blue, starting from the price of CNY1,999 for the 6/64 GB version and CNY2,099 for bigger storage, the 6/128 GB version.
The Redmi K20 Pro will come in four versions, with the lowest starting from CNY2,499 ($361) and the model with 8/256GB going for CNY2,999 ($434):
- 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage – 2,499 Yuan (~$362)
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 2,599 Yuan (~$376)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 2,799 Yuan (~$405)
- 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 2,999 Yuan (~$435)
That said, there will be a fifth version, the Avengers Edition, of price unknown.
Moreover, Redmi is releasing an attachable gamepad for CNY179 on June 1, in order to attract gaming lovers.
