Redmi has announced a new addition to its Note 7 series phones – the Redmi Note 7S, which fits somewhere between the Note 7 and the Note 7 Pro.
It shares a lot of similarities with the rest of the Note series, of course, starting with the 6.3 inch HD+ LCD screen, USB-C connectivity, 18W charging and ending with the out-of-the-box Android Pie with MIUI 10.
It comes with an IR blaster, a P2I coating for water resistance, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a rear fingerprint scanner.
On the back, the phone is expected to feature the same 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor the global Note 7 Pro version sports, but that has not been confirmed just yet. What we do know is that the selfie camera is a 13MP with face unlock.
Under the hood there’s a 4,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 660 chipset you can get in 3GB + 4GB RAM or 32GB + 64GB RAM combinations.
The phone will become available in India as of May 23rd, with really affordable price tags: around $158 (after conversion) for the 3GB + 32GB variant and $187 for the 4GB + 64GB one.
