The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is yet to be announced but the fact it’s not even made an appearance yet did nothing to stop the online rumor mill from turning, with some saying that the device will even offer ECG and fall detection.
Now, at long last, we finally have a leaked image on our hands, courtesy of Android Headlines, which looks like it might be an official render of the smartwatch.
The render confirms the name of the device and shows us a smartwatch that is not too different from the Watch Active, which launched back in February.
There have been rumors that the watch will come in black, gold and silver color options – we know now that we might at least expect a black variant, thanks to this render.
The leather strap the watch is pictured with will, if the render is authentic, most likely be available on launch or will at least come as an addition to the familiar silicone straps its predecessor featured.
The power button is located on the side of the device and features a red ring around it that is currently the subject of discussion online – however, it might prove to be nothing but an aesthetic choice as far as Samsung is concerned.
Based on just this render, it’s impossible to tell if the smartwatch will host health-related features. It has also been rumored that the device will come in 40 and 44mm sizes, with Wi-Fi-only and LTE models. If any of these rumors will prove to be true, it remains to be seen.
The Watch Active 2 will most likely make an appearance alongside the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ on the 7th of August.
