Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Release Date Just Leaked

According to a new leak, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will hit stores next month. The rumor belongs to one of the most reliable tipsters, Evan Bass. The tipster believes that Galaxy Z Fold 2 preorders will start on September 2, while retail sales will happen around September 18.

For now, we know the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a few significant upgrades confirmed, like the much larger external display, a 7.6-inch internal display without a notch, and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth experience.

The biggest change is the hole-punch camera that replaced the large corner notch for the internal camera. Also, the renders show a new, full-size display on the outside of the phone (instead of the small screen on the original).

One of these drawbacks was the fact that the predecessor tended to gather up dirt under the hinge part of the screen. Using this feedback, and according to Samsung, the new vacuum-inspired design of the Z Fold is the first time that a self-cleaning device hits store shelves.

By adding the vacuum-inspired brush in the Z Flip’s hinge, Samsung is hoping to keep the phone cleaner, with the help of the little brushes installed in the folding part of the phone.

The Z Fold 2 will like run on the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of 512GB of storage.

The impressive handset will be quite pricey, about $2,000, and hopefully, the Unpacked event will unveil its true value.
