Two years ago, among iPhone 6 excitement, several users noticed that the Plus version bends… after being placed in the pockets of tight jeans. Of course, customers were deterred from buying the product, finalizing with a Bendgate Tim Cook was surely not planning on. As some believe Apple will try to repair the problem using 7000 series aluminum, the latest flagship phone from Samsung was also put to the test of… a hydraulic press. Will #mobilemagic work?
Slickwraps, a company that sells covers for tablets, phones and more, partnered with Desert Steel to put Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge through an incredibly hard test. They used a 400 ton hydraulic press to see how the smartphone behaves under such an amazing pressure.
The whole process was documented in the video above… where we can see the final explosion and subsequent “bleeding”.
