As of now, IFA 2020 seems to be the only major tech event still happening.
However, Samsung will skip the proceedings and instead hold their own event, also in early September.
“We have taken the exciting decision to share our latest news and announcements at our own digital event in early September.
While Samsung will not be participating in IFA 2020, we look forward to our continued partnership with IFA in the future,” Samsung told Engadget.
While it’s interesting to see Samsung holding their own conference (maybe some major announcements incoming!), this does leave a big hole in IFA’s remaining line-up.
What used to be a week-long affair with hundreds of thousands of visitors is now, thanks to COVID-19, limited to just a few participants.
IFA 2020 will not allow visitors other than vendors and press and will be held over 3 days, between September 3rd and September 5th.
