IFA 2020 Brings An Innovative New Concept

Recently, IFA made an important announcement on Twitter, regarding its upcoming 2020 conference.

According to the organizers, IFA 2020 will carry on with an ‘innovative new concept’, because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But, what does this mean exactly?

No further details were shared but it is probably safe to expect some sort of a live stream, since the Berlin government has banned big events from happening until October 24th.

IFA Berlin is set to go ahead in 2020, but with an innovative new concept, following the decision by the Berlin government to ban all events with more than 5,000 participants until 24 October 2020.

gfu and Messe Berlin will further illustrate the details of its updated concept for IFA 2020 pretty soon, as their planning for the concept that will allow the event to deliver its functions to the industry is well advanced.

“We expected this development given the constantly evolving pandemic and appreciate that we have now a clear regulatory framework that enables us, our partner Messe Berlin, and our exhibitors to make detailed plans for IFA 2020 ,” stated Hans-Joachim Kamp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of gfu Consumer und Home Electronics.
