The wearable market has grown a lot in recent years, so if you want a smartwatch, there are plenty of choices. But have you ever thought you could get a similar device with just a 3D printer and a reflow oven?
Samson March created just that and it looks pretty awesome! The watch features a case printed in a woodfilled PLA. For a more classical touch, there’s a round LCD with graphics. Whenever he has an incoming message, the contact’s photo can be displayed on the LCD.
It works with Bluetooth Low Energy and runs on a rechargeable lithium battery. The watch’s battery can last for about seven days, depending on how much you use it, of course.
The smartwatch made from scratch by the electrical engineer can be ordered here.
