Snapchat is the latest social media platform to introduce a paid plan.
Earlier this month, there were rumors about a paid Snapchat plan and now the company made it official.
The Snapchat+ is a subscription that will cost $3.99 per month. Initially, it will be available in select regions, but more countries will be added soon.
Right now, Snapchat+ is launching in the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, France, Germany, Australia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
According to the company, the subscription will allow them “to deliver new Snapchat features to some of the most passionate members of our community and allow us to provide prioritized support.”
So, what do you get?
The main perk, in our view, is the ability to see which people rewatched your Snapchat Stories.
If you’re wondering who has a crush on you and keeps checking what you post on your Snapchat, the subscription is the only way to see that. Snapchat+ will also let you pin a friend as your number 1 friend. Too bad Tom from Myspace doesn’t have Snapchat, because pinning him as #1 BFF would be the first thing we’d do.
Snapchat+ also gets you a special badge and a set of custom app icons, so you can change how your Snapchat looks on your main screen.
