Finally, tomorrow Sony will release the long-awaited feature that will allow you to stream Playstation 4 games on any device in your house, including Mac or that dear, ol’ PC of yours.
Called Remote Play, the feature allows users to stream gameplay on selected devices via a simple Internet connection. It will probably come in handy to young parents who miss their nights of conquests and missions, now forced to let kids watch TV cartoons instead. Playing the latest games on the PC though will help them remember the good, old times.
Remote Play is compatible with Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or later, OS X 10.10 and OS X 10.11. The update will give you the option of appearing offline to friends, too, if you want to catch the dawn in your bed, not in front of the TV, with hands glued to the controller. If that doesn’t sound like you, then you will appreciate the new ability of planning game sessions with your buddies; simply register and when it’s time for the show, you will be added automatically to a Party.
Microsoft’s Xbox One provides the same ability on its Windows 10 PCs over a home network.
