Tesla’s Newest Software Update Will Include Atari Games

Tesla had launched its Version 8.0 for their vehicle software update  back in 2016 and at the time it was the company’s most significant over-the-air update, featuring a new user interface and a handful of new features.

Now, almost two years later, Elon Musk announced that version 9 of the software update will be coming this month and that it will have full self-driving features as well.

But this is the fun part: there will also be some Easter Eggs somewhere within the update and they will come in the form of a handful of classic Atari games. At the moment, Elon Musk is still taking suggestions over Twitter as to which games they should include, so you can drop in and have your say if there is any title you feel strongly about.

So far, people have been very excited about Pole Position, Tempest and Missile Command.

The games will most likely be playable on the central display tablet within the car – Pole Position for example, will use the steering wheel as an input. But only when the car is parked, of course.
