2019’s Oppo Reno Ace is getting a follow-up with a serious upgrade and a premiere for Oppo: the first phone with 40W wireless charging is the Oppo Ace 2.
The AirVOOC wireless charge is capable of going toe to toe with Huawei’s 40W wireless charging capabilities and miles above the established players.
It’s worth noting that the best Samsung is offering right now is 15W, while Apple offers just 7.5 W, so if fast charging is an important feature for you, read on.
The wired charging is also lightning fast, coming in at 65W, and those are the two main selling points of this device.
The Oppo Ace 2 can’t really keep up with Oppo’s flagship, the impressive Find X2 Pro, but still has plenty to offer for a lower price tag.
The phone supports 5G and sports a 6.55-inch 1080p OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint reader.
It uses a Snapdragon 865 processor and pairs it with up to 12 GB of RAM and 246 GB of storage.
Oppo Ace 2 has a hole-punch selfie cam and a quad-camera on the back that combines a 48 MP sensor with an 8 MP ultrawide one and 2 MP sensors for macro and depth.
As usual, the phone will be available in China first, showing up on shelves on April 20th.
The 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Oppo Ace 2 will go for 3,999 yuan, which converts to about $565, while the 8GB RAM/256 GB storage retails at $625.
The most powerful combo will be around $650 and offer 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.
