How many smart devices are as essential to you as the air you breathe? One, maybe two? The rest of them just make your life easier or more comfortable. Unless we count in this medical smart device that can take care of your health like any determined doctor.
Called the Hero Smart Appliance, the device keeps track of your medication – how many pills you take, when you take them and when you’re low on them. Most importantly, it sends alerts when it’s time to take a certain pill. All you have to do is enter your name (since it can dispense medicine for several people) and connect it to the Internet. Then, it’s time to fill in the names of pills, how many doses you need and the hour you usually take them. After that, it’s a matter of putting the pills in their designated container and wait for Hero to release it at the scheduled time. Of course, you can access all your medicine off-schedule, too.
The medication dispenser is especially useful for caregivers, who have multiple patients in their care, each with their medical recipe. It can also be of huge help to older people who have a hard time keeping score of the types of medicine they need and the appropriate time for each one of them. It’s worth noting that Hero Smart Appliance can store a maximum of 10 medicines and doesn’t work with liquids at all.
You can pre-order it online for $399 or wait for official release, when it will probably come to $999.
