Are you ready to get back into the dating scene? Because dating app Tinder wants you to go on dates again, the company is giving out pairs of COVID-19 tests to its users in the US who will soon be able to reserve two tests directly via the app.
Precisely 1,000 EverlyWell COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kits will be delivered in total, for free, one for you and one for your partner. Therefore, 500 couples will be ready to go on dates after claiming the tests starting at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
“We’re excited to be working with EverlyWell to make it easier for our members to go and meet their matches safely,” said Nicole Parlapiano, Tinder’s vice president of marketing for North America.
According to the company, people expressed their desire to get back into the dating scene.
“The pandemic has created no shortage of dating obstacles, but we think our members are pretty optimistic about getting back out there. January 3 Swipe activity hit 3.4 billion, which was one of the busiest days of the entire pandemic,” said Nicole.
Of course, a negative test doesn’t necessarily mean the risk is eliminated, as you can catch the coronavirus in the window before the result comes back. But one thing is certain, we’re all excited to go on a real date again.
