A tablet with a notch? Samsung has so much faith in the concept it appears to have leaked its own product.
Believed to be the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, this notched tablet was spotted by 91Mobiles in a picture containing a smartphone as well – in an official Samsung support page!
As The Verge points out, this design aligns with previous leaks, like unofficial renders and details from publications like WinFuture.
If the rest of the leaked Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra specs are to be believed, this tablet will bring a 14.6-inch OLED display, a resolution of 2960×1848 and a 120Hz refresh rate.
As for the notch, even though Samsung made fun of Apple for using it, the company will apparently use it to house two 12MP selfie cameras.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will use the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and a 11,200 mAh battery.
The tablet will have S pen support and optional 5G, making it the flagship Galaxy Tab of the year, more expensive than the Tab S8 and the Tab S8 Plus.
Since Samsung is rumored to launch the Samsung S22 phones on February 8th, it’s possible we might see the tablet with a notch show up as well.
