Calendar spots might be booked for IFA 2023 in the fall but those who want to see high-level innovation and technology developments should also make room for VivaTech 2023 in June.

Europe’s biggest startup and tech event will take place from June 14 to June 17 at Porte de Versailles in Paris. It will be bigger than ever, with 20% more space for attendees to discuss topical issues and future-forward projects.

This year, the main theme is of course generative AI, since ChatGPT sparked a wave of creativity (and controversy) worldwide. However, topics like climate tech, including the exciting Neoplants startup, femtech and climate tech will also be heavily featured and the agenda is star-studded.

Eva Gouwens, the CEO of Fairphone, Peggy Johnson, the CEO of Magic Leap, Dan Schulman, the president and CEO of Paypal, and Luciana Lixandru, General Partner at Sequoia are just some of the speakers at the event.

In a blog post titled “5 Game-Changing Technologies Coming to VivaTech 2023,” you can also see some more exciting developments. Among them are Notpla, a company that makes a plastic substitute derived from algae which can completely dissolve in water, and Sweetech Energy, a French startup working on harnessing the difference in salinity between freshwater and seawater (osmotic power) for clean energy generation.

Take a look at the full VivaTech 2023 schedule and book a ticket while you still can.
