Because the Vivo Nex was the first smartphone to come with a pop-up selfie camera, everyone, including Oppo Find X fans, was curious to see how it actually looks under the hood.
Check out the gif below to see the mechanism of the Vivo Nex pop-up camera. The selfie camera is deployed via a stepper motor, while a spring provides cushioning.
You can also spot a linear vibrator, the same SoundCasting Technology found in Vivo Apex that allows the display to produce sound.
MyFixGuide also pointed out that the in-display fingerprint scanner is different than the one found in the Vivo X21, using a short focus camera to read the users’ fingerprint.
