All eyes are on Vivo X Fold, the latest foldable phone to be announced, but Vivo’s new Vivo X Note is also an attractive proposition, with an all-glass body with a textured feel.
Vivo X Fold Is Here… And It Ain’t Small
The Vivo X Note has, as you’d expect, a massive screen. This DisplayMate A+ AMOLED panel comes at 7 inches, with a 3080 x 1440 px resolution and a 21:10 ratio, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1500 nits peak brightness. Under it, you’ll find the in-screen fingerprint reader.
The Vivo X Note also goes for the premium label when it comes to the camera. It has a quad camera setup with Zeiss lenses on the back, combining a 50MP main sensor with a 48MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP sensor and a 8MP periscope telephoto lens. That last one promises 5X optical zoom and 60X digital zoom.
On the front, the Vivo Z Note is fitted with an 8MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, Vivo didn’t cut any corners, pairing the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.
Everything is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, charging fully in just 32 minutes.
Notably, the new Vivo phone has an IR blaster and also features an IP68 water resistance rating.
The Vivo X Note will start selling in China on April 15 and start at CNY 5,999(USD $940) for the 8 GB + 256 GB model. The most expensive Vivo X Note will go for around $1,100, which gets you 12GB RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Vivo’s 50W wireless charging pad will go for CNY 99, which converts to around $16.
