Ubisoft was so close to keeping the secret about its flagship title, Watch Dogs Legion, until its E3 2019 press conference. Unfortunately, Amazon had other plans.
The listing for what we know will be called Watch Dogs Legion has just leaked on the online retailer’s UK website, showing off important plot information regarding the sequel to Watch Dogs 2. Moreover, the listing also confirmed the London setting that has long been rumored.
Amazon’s page states that Watch Dogs Legion is set in “a post-Brexit world in which society, politics, and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes” and where “every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems”.
Therefore, gamers will find themselves in a dystopian London with no character restraints, allowing them to “play as anyone”. Ain’t that a treat?
Multiple outlets have confirmed this gameplay info, with even Kotaku saying that the NPC technology is the main reason why the Watch Dogs 3 hasn’t been out earlier in the year.
After the leak, Amazon reacted and deleted the page, but the truth remains: Watch Dogs Legion will definitely be unveiled at the E3 2019 convention very soon.
Funny enough, a previous Watch Dogs 3 leak suggested that Legion was the codename for a new Assassin’s Creed game coming in 2020 and set in Rome. That completely contradicts the latest rumor.
