After months of testing, WhatsApp has eventually come up with a feature that allows users to hide their last seen status updates from certain people.
Recently, Whatsapp developed a series of features designed to bring a better user experience to the app, including the ability to mute people during group calls. This Whatsapp feature is especially helpful during group calls when the person forgot to mute themselves.
On apps like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, hosts can already mute all participants or specific ones, while individual users don’t have this option. Moreover, the app brings a new WhatsApp feature that now allows users to send messages to specific people during group calls.
“To further protect your privacy online, we’re rolling out new options to your privacy control settings. Now you can select who from your contact list can see your Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status.” Previously, users did not have the option of hiding their last seen and status updates from specific people. The users only had three options, such as “Everyone”, “My Contacts” and “Nobody”. Now users also have the “My Contacts except” option.
