Apple’s announcement of ECG in Apple Watch 4 was definitely a major step forward for smart watches. Now, at CES 2019, Withings wants to do the same for analog watches.
The company just announced the Move ECG, the “world’s first analog watch to record an electrocardiogram”.
The Move ECG not only looks like a classic watch, which will probably make it a better choice for senior citizens, it also comes at an affordable $130.
To achieve EKG capabilities, Withings fitted its watch with two electrodes on the rear and one in the case, who will work in tandem to produce an electrocardiogram in 30 seconds.
The Withings Move ECG also features sleep and fitness tracking, which is nothing to sneeze at considering it promises up to 12 months of battery life.
With a water resistance of up to 50 meters, it’s definitely one of the most promising hybrid watches we’ve seen lately.
The Move ECG watch will launch sometime in the second quarter of 2019 and you can sign up for updates here.
