It might not be entirely hygge, but it sure gives Scandinavian vibes. I’m talking about Halo, a wooden block created by a Latvian startup that charges your phone wirelessly #objectmagic
If you’re just as sick of cables like I am, then you’ve probably considered opting for a wireless charger. There are plenty of options nowadays, but most of them still look very much like a gadget. They’re not particularly stylish and they definitely don’t blend in with a minimalist decor. So, Halo Stands chopped and refined a block of wood, giving it in the same time charging abilities.
You can count on it to replenish batteries for phones that work with Qi wireless charging standard. If you have an older phone, you can still take advantage of it by using external wireless receiver modules. In the same time, Halo can serve as a great, discreet phone stand.
When you’re multitasking, throwing a look at your notifications is the most you can do. Halo was designed with that idea in mind. It can keep your phone in a vertical or horizontal position at all times, thanks to a nano suction ring. This feature makes sure your phone doesn’t slip and fall. Plus, the charger itself comes with a silicone anti-slip pad, so even if you keep it on a glass surface, it won’t budge.
The phone accessory is right now crowdfunding on Indiegogo, after being met with enthusiasm on Kickstarter. A simple Halo stand costs $19, while one with charging abilities will set you back $59.
