Xiaomi is not wasting any time: it looks like its next gaming phone, the Black Shark 2, is just around the corner.
The company’s director, Wang Teng Thomas, took to Weibo to let the fans know that he has had a hands-on with the newest Black Shark. Not only that, but he finds it ‘full of personality’ and ‘very cool’.
Wang Teng Thomas did not offer up any other information about the device but it is worth noting that, in January, a device called Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker did make an appearance on Geekbench.
Its specs mentioned that it would have a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB of RAM and will come with Android 9 Pie out of the box. This particular device recorded a 3494 single-core and 11,149 multi-core score, which is not bad at all.
But other than that, we don’t really know anything about the upcoming device for the moment.
The first Black Shark phone was launched in April, so perhaps we can expect its successor to make an appearance this April as well.
