This summer, we listed Oppo and Samsung in the bendable smartphone race. Now, we’re thinking of adding Xiaomi too, as a recent video featuring their bendable touchscreen came to surface this week #mobilemagic
A user posted on YouKu a short clip in which you can see a bent display with a fully functional user interface. While the user avoids to bend it in several directions, the touchscreen is clearly accessed at a weird angle, held in the flexed hand. Unfortunately, there’s no additional information about launch date or device name.
We’ll have to wait and see if Xiaomi manages to bring their product this year or before Mobile World Congress 2017, when Bloomberg reported Samsung would unveil two bendable smartphones with OLED screens.
