Xiaomi couldn’t sit one out after Razer Phone 2 debuted and introduced their own gaming smartphone, the Black Shark 2.
Now, the powerhouse with 10 GB of RAM gets an update to its gamepad just in time for the holidays.
The Black Shark Gamepad 2.0 bears more than a passing resemblance to the Nintendo Switch, with ABXY buttons and a similar, attached on both sides layout.
However, there’s no question about it: it’s a much sleeker design, perfect for showcasing the gaming smartphone. It’s also a major improvement from the previous Black Shark Gamepad, which only attached to the left side of the phone. All of the buttons are also map-able so you can create your perfect control scheme for each game.
The new gamepad is available on the Black Shark website for $89 or 79 euros but, if you get it with the phone as well, it’s at a 20% discount. It’s worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Black Shark itself is also on a heavy discount so if you want a gaming smartphone, it’s definitely worth checking out.
