Today, Xiaomi has announced the global version of the Mi Band 5, within its smart home ecosystem showcase. In Europe and the U.K. the fitness tracker band will be commercialized under the name Mi Band 5 Smart, and will not be officially sold in the United States.

In terms of specs, the fitness tracker band promises 14-day battery life, heart rate monitoring, women’s health tracking, 65 theme versions, 2.5D tempered glass panel that protects the screen from scratches and abrasions and a 1.1 -inch AMOLED display. However, the global version of the Mi Band 5 will lack the blood oxygen tracker.
There will be lots of interesting sports modes like:
- Outdoor running
- Pool swimming
- Rowing machine
- Jump rope
- Indoor cycling
Besides the fitness options, the smart fitness band integrates a PPG pulse sensor, 50% more accurate, just to allow you to constantly monitor your heart health and have access to relevant information on sleep quality, stress levels and even menstrual cycle monitoring.
Moreover, this smart device gathers all the information and creates PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence), a matrix with values from which you can easily read key health indicators.
The fitness tracker comes in five strap colorways: black, yellow, navy blue, orange, teal, and mint green, and will cost about €39.99 in Europe.
