Just recently, the phone manufacturer teased a retractable 120mm-equivalent wide aperture lens and a 50mm-equivalent telemacro via a Twitter post. The video posted on Twitter unveils a device with cameras on its back, with the lens popping in and out of the device, fully spread and retreated within a second.
‘Inspired by traditional camera designs’, the 120mm-equivalent retractable wide-aperture lens are equipped with a bigger aperture and upgraded stabilizer, for amazing portrait shots.
There is also a video illustrating how telemacro lens – a 2-in-1 telephoto and macro lens that zooms in closer to a subject, allowing the photographer to optimize focus when ready – works, for smart photography users.
However, these interesting camera updates are currently not confirmed to reach any particular Xiaomi smartphone any specific time.
