Xiaomi took to Weibo to tease its upcoming foldable device in a nice, short video that features just a cup of instant noodles and an unseen user. The user is filmed scrolling through the handset in ‘tablet’ mode, before folding it up and using it as a weight for the lid of the noodle cup.
The video only lasts 10 seconds but it’s enough for Xiaomi to showcase how easily the screen can go from tablet mode into phone mode/size as it gets folded down.
The handset will most likely arrive in the second quarter of 2019 and is expected to cost half the price its direct competitors, Samsung and Huawei, have currently set for their own foldable phones.
