Xiaomi is currently attending the annual Partner Conference in Beijing. There, the company has already showcased the Mi Mix 3 smartphone that comes with 5G connectivity and a Snapdragon X50 modem.
The specs label next to the device revealed that the phone comes with a Snapdragon 855 chipset. The company said that the combination between the chipset and the modem will allow the device to reach download speeds of 2Gbps.
As far as the design goes, it does not look very different from its predecessors: it has a ceramic body and a magnetic power slide design.
Xiaomi will launch the 5G version of the Mix 3 in Europe as well and hopes to achieve online playback in 8K ultra-high definition VR video, deliver 3D holographic video calls and high-definition game cloud streaming services.
Looks like Xiaomi is dreaming big and we’re curious to see what the company will have in store for us in 2019.
