YouTube iOS App just got a new update, and a new feature to make it easier for users to catch up with their favorite channels.
Users who follow a multitude of channels will find this helpful to order their unwatched videos more easily. The new basic filters tab for subscriptions will not appear for Android users, but it’s coming “in the future”.
With this filter, users can select different topics like “All” to see every video from the channels they follow, or “Continue Watching” to see media they paused in the past. Also, options like “Today” will show videos posted in the last 24 hours and “Unwatched” will display new unseen content from subscribed channels. The “Post” option will only show community posts.
These filters aren’t compulsory, people that don’t use them will just get their content shown, as usual, default to the reverse-chronological list of every video from every channel they’ve subscribed to.
These topics are pretty basic hopefully Google will add more in the future, perhaps when Android users will get to benefit from the feature too.
