Sending a drone on a course is like having eyes in the sky… but not really. Yuneec knows how important it would be for pilots to see from the UAVs point of view so it developed a headset exactly for this purpose #actionmagic
SkyView is compatible with the two most popular drone series from Yuneec, Typhoon H and Tornado H920. Pilots simply have to put the adjustable headband on (which also accommodates glasses) and watch on the 5-inch HD screen with 720p resolution, a 75.5-degree field of view and 16:9 aspect ratio, everything that’s happening on the ground. Imagine how you would perceive a dolphin stampede or a cycling race!
After the battery dies and you have to call the drone back home, you can watch the video captured via HDMI or simply play some games. At $249, it’s really not that expensive, provided you already count on a Typhoon H or Tornado drone. The first one was recently unveiled at CES in Las Vegas. It has 6 rotors, a 360-degree gimbal that should ensure great imagery in 4K and the possibility of shooting scenes at 12MP with a CGO3+ camera.
