We have been talking about the arrival of the world’s first smartphone with an under-display selfie camera for a few months now. Now, the time has come for ZTE to announce the release of the Axon 20 5G on December 21st. The device will be available in major markets across the globe, except the US.
The Axon 20 5G was first revealed in China back in September, and the Shenzen-based company is now ready to release it globally. Surely, many manufacturers will follow this model of a truly full display, which will become a standard in the industry.
ZTE has used special materials, dual-control chips, unique driver circuits, a special pixel matrix, and its in-house selfie algorithm to develop the under-display selfie camera.
The ZTE Axon 20 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G and is powered 4,220mAh battery can support 30W Quick Charging and has a 5G power-saving mode that improves battery life by 35%. The handset has a 6.92-inch OLED display and on the back, it packs a 64MP super HD main camera that supports 4K high-resolution video at 60fps.
Starting December 21st the Axon 20 5G will be for sale on ZTE’s official website, and will be available in the following markets:
United Kingdom, European Union, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, South Africa.
The price will be revealed closer to the date.
