It’s already expected from Apple to have its next-generation phones make an appearance in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) regulatory database way before they are even officially announced.
So, just like last year, the 2019 iPhones have recently appeared in the database with model numbers A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223.
We normally look at the EEC database for products the companies didn’t yet even hint at but this time we already knew the iPhones were coming – even if we didn’t, the filing goes all out and downright describes them as ‘Apple smartphones’.
You might ask why there are 11 smartphones: no, Apple won’t have that many new devices on sale, that number is due to the fact that Apple sells different variants of their iPhones across the globe with different options such as physical dual SIMs for the Chinese market, for example.
At the moment, we don’t really know a lot about the upcoming 2019 iPhones except that the iPhone 11 and 11 Max will feature the company’s first ever triple camera system, which will be held in a square camera housing on the back.
The new iPhones will most likely be announced during Apple’s yearly fall event, in September.
