All year long we’ve seen the GeoOrbital Wheel (the tire that turns ordinary bikes in electrical ones) pass through all Kickstarter stages. If you weren’t decided to buy one then, know that now the product has officially launched on their site and pre-orders are open to all customers #objectmagic
GeoOrbital Wheel pre-orders have officially started for $799. For those of you who have waited this moment all year long, one piece of advice: act now. The rest of you should know there will be a new, cool gadget in town you have to check out.
In February, former engineers from SpaceX and Ford came together to manufacture and launch a smart wheel. GeoOrbital Wheel was imagined as a powerful and extremely easy to install e-bike solution. The only thing the user has to do is replace the front wheel of the bike with this one. In less than a minute, a traditional bike turns into an electrical one.
The wheel is equipped with a 500W motor and lithium-ion battery that can make a bike go up to 50mph. It also comes with a USB port that can charge your devices during a ride and it can regenerate the battery when you aren’t using it but are moving (pedaling, going down hill).
GeoOrbital Wheel has various sizes (26-inch, 28-inch/29-inch) and colors to choose from, weighing from 11 to 17 pounds, depending on the model.
