Recently, Warner Media announced the sundown of HBO Go, along with other changes on HBO Now and HBO Max.
Currently, many consumers must be confused about the differences between HBO Go, HBO Now, and HBO Max, as the company made it pretty confusing when it stated that going forward there will only be HBO and HBO Max.
Warner Media, HBO’s parent company has announced its intention to simplify things, at least. According to the company, HBO Go, the app consumers use to subscribe to HBO through cable or internet, will soon be removed from its various platforms by July 31, 2020, moving the customers to HBO Max with no added charges.
As we’ve recently reported, HBO Max includes the standard HBO content plus a whole bunch of other extra content, and is available on Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Android devices for users in the United States, while Europe and Latin America are expected to get the service next year.
If you are a HBO Now consumer, the app-only service that doesn’t tie to a cable subscription, the service will become simply HBO.
Therefore, if you use HBO Go you’ll soon transit to HBO Max, while if you use HBO Now you will soon use just HBO.
