Cheap headphones that don’t contribute to the current waste production and plastic abuse?
Meet the House of Marley line-up, specifically their latest headset, the Smile Jamaica Wireless 2.
House of Marley, the audio brand with a penchant for using sustainable materials, now announces the same commitment for the packaging too.
The company just launched the new Smile Jamaica wireless 2 headphones and will ship them in 100% paper fiber.
The shift in packaging means you’ll be able to just throw it in the garbage without separating plastic and paper to put them in different bins.
Even the charging cable of the Jamaica Wireless 2 is made of 99% post-consumer plastic waste made of recycled water bottles, while the materials for the headphones include recyclable aluminum and FSC certified wood.
And, just like any House of Marley audio product, some of the sales proceed will go to support reforestation efforts.
The Smile Jamaica Wireless 2 headphones do seem to check all the marks of an ethical-oriented purchase, but what about the specs?
In short, they offer a 9 hour battery life and an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.
The most attractive feature other than the sustainability aspects? Definitely the price.
The new House of Marley headphones are available now on the official website for $29.99.
