JBL shook up IFA 2020 from all angles.
We didn’t just see five new earbuds (for every budget) but also three new updates for the popular JBL speaker line-up, with subtle design improvements, PLUS a PartyBox On-The-Go and a PartyBox 310.
First off, have the new JBL Clip 4 and the JBL Go 3 miniature bluetooth speakers.
They’re a bit different from previous models (the Go 3 now has a small loop) and come with a few more colors to choose from, including camo print.
Both also now charge via USB-C instead of the inconvenient Micro USB port, have Bluetooth 5.1 support and IP67 dust and water resistance.
The JBL Go 3 has a five hour battery life and the JBL Clip 4 can go up to 10 hours, the same as the previous models.
If you want to keep the party going for longer, then the new JBL Xtreme3 will have to go in your bag.
This large bluetooth speaker promises up to 15 hours of battery life and can also charge a second device.
Just like the smaller JBLs, the Xtreme3 now also has USB-C charging and the IP67 resistance.
The first of the speakers to hit the shelves will be the JBL Go 3, available in October for $40.
It will be followed by the $350 JBL Xtreme3 in November and by the $70 JBL Clip 4 in December.
If you’re really serious about partying this winter, the new JBL PartyBox line-up will do the trick, as they also feature a light show to sync with your tunes.
Fitted with either a strap or with wheels, these can also be paired together to turn any location into a smaller club.
The JBL PartyBox On-The-Go promises “100 watts of powerful JBL Pro Sound”, Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity, plus some other really useful features.
It includes a JBL wireless mic, a six-hour rechargeable battery, a padded shoulder strap, plus a bottle opener.
Oh yeah, and it’s also IPX4 splash proof, so no worries about spilling some drinks.
While you have to wait a bit for the refreshed mini bluetooth speakers, the JBL PartyBox On-The-Go is already up on JBL’s website for $300.
If you don’t wanna hurt your shoulders, you could also wheel around the JBL Partybox 310, which will launch this month for $500.
The most expensive JBL speaker of the year, it brings 240 watts of JBL Pro Sound and an 18-hour battery life, plus dual mic and guitar inputs.
