The folks at Bose either missed the memo or live somewhere tropical.
Why else would they announce three pairs of audio sunglasses with speakers built-in, right as everyone is getting in fall mode?
That’s probably the thought process behind the Bose Frames Tenor, Frames Soprano and Frames Tempo, the new audio sunglasses with polarized lenses.
All of these audio sunglasses have “tiniest, thinnest, most invisible Bose speaker systems ever” according to Bose, and have at least 5.5 hours of battery life.
Both the Bose Tenor and Bose Soprano, the models best fit for the city, feature 16 mm speakers and can go for 5.5 hours on a charge.
The Bose Tempo, the sports sunglasses, are designed for biking so they have a bit more juice.
“With a sweat- and weather-resistant design, a lightweight, aerodynamic nylon frame, and soft, silicone nose pads, Tempo is designed for comfort and performance,” says Bose.
They use a 22 mm driver that should give you enough volume even when cycling at 25 mp. They have an 8 hour battery life, charging via USB-C.
No matter which model you play, all the new Bose audio frames are already on sale for $249.95.
It’s worth noting that they’re also prescription-ready, so more buyers can enjoy the Bose sound.
If you’re more into regular wireless earbuds, Bose also announced two new pairs, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds with ANC and the Bose Sports without. Read more about them here.
