With Microsoft announcing the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X prices and release dates last week, it was almost assured that Sony would make a PlayStation 5 related announcement. Perhaps right on time, Sony announced a new PlayStation showcase.
In a post on the PlayStation blog, SIE Content Communications Senior Director Sid Shuman announced that there would be another PlayStation 5 showcase. Happening on September 16th at 1pm PDT, the showcase is set for 40 minutes and will feature “some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).”

Although the presentation is stated to only feature games, Sony did showcase the console for the first time in one of these presentation. Given Xbox announced price and release date, Sony may have to make a similar announcement soon. This could be the venue to do so.
