We’re back to drawing board. Everything you thought you knew about OnePlus 5′ design? You might have to forget it. New alleged renders show the company has changed its mind regarding the final design. You won’t be seeing vertical dual rear cameras after all, but a horizontal module in the top left corner. Unfortunately, this feature, as well as other details, reminds us of another smartphone currently on the market, iPhone 7 Plus #mobilemagic
As you can see in the renders above, OnePlus 5 seems to have ditched its previous design language. The smartphone’s body is more curvy with rounded corners and the antennas were lifted a bit, as they now seem to hug the back of the device. On the OnePlus 5 black version, they’ll be almost invisible.

A different press render that you can spot above, shows the same rumored horizontal dual rear camera module, instead of the vertical one previously seen. The mute switch, though, is on the left side of the device, while the volume button seems to have taken the right side. The fingerprint scanner is most likely on the front, probably under the home button.
There’s no denying that this leak shows a device that’s incredibly similar to iPhone 7 Plus. That’s why we’re having a hard time believing OnePlus 5 will go this route. If they do, they would practically launch a copycat of the iPhone, risking not only a lawsuit but a backlash from fans. We’ll see what happens this month, either way, as the OnePlus 5 with Snapdragon 835 chip is to be announced on June 20.
