PlayStation has recently made a large push to PC for its major first-party games. It appears as if that train is not slowly down anytime soon as PlayStation has reportedly registered the “PlayStation PC” logo for future PC releases.
According to VGC, Steam users noticed that PlayStation first-party games were now published under the developer name “PlayStation PC LLC” as opposed to the “PlayStation Mobile” later. The PlayStation PC label was registered earlier this year in April.
The effort to create this label shows PlayStation is certainly interested in continuing their investment into the PC space.
The first major PlayStation game which headed to PC was Death Stranding. However, Horizon Zero Dawn in August 2020 was the first major PlayStation Studio game released. Recently even God of War (2018) was announced to be ported to PC.
PlayStation Studios even acquired Nixxes, a studio known for their history of PC porting.
While it is unclear what other titles the company will look to bring to PC, what is apparent is that PlayStation will certainly look to expand their player base by bringing even more games to PC.
