Motorola has just launched the Moto G Stylus 2022, a mobile phone that stands out thanks to its integrated stylus that allows the users to take notes, edit photos, draw and more.
The smartphone comes with a water-resistant body that measures 90×9.45mm and weighs 216 grams.
It features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ (1080×2460 pixels, 396ppi) display, a90Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Moto G Stylus 2022 features a MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor (12nm; 2x Arm Cortex-A75 at 2GHz + 6x Arm Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz) clocked at 2GHz with 6GB Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU of RAM. It offers 128GB of storage that can further be expanded via microSD up to 512GB.
It has a 5,000mAh battery to keep it going and, according to Motorola, can last for up to two days on a full charge.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone features, on the rear, a 50MP main lens with Quad Pixel technology that increases sensitivity in low light for sharper and brighter images. The 50MP comes accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide/macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The cameras come with a number of features such as panoramic shots, Smart Composition, Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Google Lens integration and more.
On the front, we’ll find a 16MP camera.
Other features include a 3.5 mm jack port, dual microphone, Bluetooth 5.0, 5G connectivity and dual band Wi-Fi.
Unfortunately, the device doesn’t feature NFC.
The stylus slot is inconspicuous and does not detract from the overall design; all you need to do to access it is give it a little press and you’re good to go.
The phone runs Android 11 out of the box, with Motorola’s My UX on top. Motorola also promises two years of monthly security updates.
As far as pricing and availability go, Motorola announced the Moto G Stylus (2022) on February 3 in the United States, where it can be purchased at Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon.com and Motorola.com at the recommended price of $ 299.99.
The estimated shipping date for the device is February 17th, with pre-orders already open.
It comes in Twilight Blue and Metallic Rose color options.
For now, there is no information regarding global availability.
