Oppo’s smartphones designed for selfies were just announced in China. Both of them feature 16MP front cameras so you can take the perfect solo or group portraits.
Their selling point is, of course, the camera module. The R9 has a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 lens while the back features just a 13MP sensor behind a lens with f/2.2 aperture. Its bigger version, the Plus, offers 16MP on the rear camera and the front one. This one can also record video in 4K, while the R9 is not able to.
Other specs R9 comes with: 1.66mm thickness, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (with up to 128GB of microSD cards), fingerprint sensor on the front (R9 Plus is similar)
The only drawback: both of them run with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
Price Oppo R9: $430 for pre-order, with shipments scheduled to start on March 24
Price Oppo R9 Plus: $510, available in China from April 12
