Some of you might remember that, back in April 2018, Amazon released the Alexa Skill Blueprints. These Blueprints allow anyone to build a voice skill for the device via a set of templates, all of it without having to know how to code.
Now a new blog post from Amazon announced that there are some new Skill Blueprints in town, built ‘specifically for content creators, bloggers and organizations.’
The skills can be shared after they are submitted to Amazon for certification and subsequent publication in the Skills Store in the US.
At the moment, there are over 80,000 Alexa skills available, so we can only imagine how big that number will get, once everyone starts contributing.
Universities and spiritual organizations can make use of the skill as well, with the University and Spiritual Talks blueprints, which will allow them to record their own content and make it available on any Alexa-enabled devices.
Meanwhile, the bloggers who have installed the Amazon AI Plugin for WordPress can access the Blog blueprint and deliver their posts in audio form on the device by using the Text-to-Speech function.
‘We can’t wait to see what you create,’ Amazon stated in the blog post and frankly, neither can we!
