When it comes to the next MacBook, rumors are better than nothing at all. In the case of the OLED touch bar for the next Apple device though, there just might be some truth in those. It seems that the latest update announced for macOS, Sierra, has all the the clues #hardwaremagic
The code itself is hiding proof that we might get some cool features next year. Hidden in the code are new resources prefaced by “kHIDUsage_LED” – got it? We’re talking about caps lock, on/off button for the camera, call pick up, fast forward, mute, pause/play, stop – all these functions could very well exist on a separate OLED touch bar!
Even better, the code suggest the next MacBook will have biometric inputs, meaning we might get a Touch ID fingerprint scanner on it. This is the first hard, written evidence we have concerning the rumors spread one month ago. Let’s hope they come true this September, the earliest time to hear an official announcement from Apple.
