The Asus ZenWatch 3 leaked photos incident put Asus employees in a less-than-Zen mood. Fortunately for us, the images confirmed one rumor lurking around. Asus’ next smartwatch is going to replace the square screen for a round one #objectmagic
A couple of days ago, China’s National Communications Commission accidentally leaked photos of the ZenWatch3 and soon enough, the Internet was brimming with them. Unlike its predecessors, the first and second ZenWatch, ZenWatch 3 will sport a round display, which will make it look very similar to classic wrist watches.
ASUS is clearly attempting to combine a classic, vintage-looking design with the latest in wearable technology, bridging the gap between traditional and futuristic.
Will it work? We’ll have to wait and see. Until then, the images reveal a couple of other things; ZenWatch 3 is going to be crafted from stainless steel and feature 3 buttons on the side of the round display.
Stick with us to find out the official price, release date and pictures, probably around the IFA 2016 event.
