Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been a massive hit for Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts since it came out. It offers players the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Star Wars, experiencing the thrill of being a Jedi.

More importantly, it’s a major improvement over the original game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was already considered one of the best Star Wars games of all time.

One of the best ways to enhance your gaming experience in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is to utilize the game’s perk system. This gives you various abilities and advantages as you explore Jedha, Nova Garon, Koboh, Tanalorr, Coruscant, and even Koboh’s moon.

In this guide, we’ll cover the best perks for you to look out for, where to find them, and how to use each one to your advantage. Additionally, you can also grab an Xbox Live Gift Card from OffGamers here if you are debating on getting the game.

What are Perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

Perks are abilities that you can unlock in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and are akin to passive skills.

Perks are separated into three different categories in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: Force, Survival, and Combat.

Force perks, as the name suggests, enhance Kestis’ Force-based abilities, reducing their cooldown and making them more potent. On the other hand, the Survival perks increase your health, make you more resistant to damage, and make finding items more convenient. Finally, the Combat perks are about making your attacks more accurate, reducing recoil, and giving you melee and ranged attack damage bonuses.

You can buy Perks from Zee the Droid in Pyloon’s Saloon or when you interact with blue Essence Crystals.

Bear in mind that each Perk costs a slot. By default, you have access to three perk slots. You’ll get more slots by exploring the game world or by exchanging Datadiscs with Zee.

Here are the best perks to look out for in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor:

  1. Versatility

Switching between different lightsaber stances isn’t just about styling on your opponents in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. For the more advanced players out there, using different lightsaber styles lets you deal more damage temporarily by swapping between your favourites.

You can find the Versatility Perk available for purchase at Zee’s Datadisc Decryption for five Datadiscs.

  1. Resilience

As far as Perks go in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resilience is as good as it gets. It’s free in that you gain it as part of the Chamber of Duality storyline. Plus, it’s also good. Resilience increases your Block Meter in the game, effectively helping you make your way through the earlier hours with ease.

  1. Fortification

As the name suggests, the latest Star Wars game is all about surviving. So, it only makes sense to pick up a Perk that regenerates your life up to a minimum amount passively. It doesn’t hurt that this Perk is available early in the game as you venture your way through the Forest Array on the planet, Koboh.

This is extremely useful when you find yourself far away from a Meditation Point or if you’re low on Stims.

  1. Shatter

Very few perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is non-negotiable to the point that you absolutely have to get them even if it doesn’t fit your preferred playstyle and, Shatter, is one of them.

This perk, when paired with the Precision Perk turns Cal Kestis into a more deadly Jedi warrior who can deal with swaths of enemies with ease. However, this is trickier to get than most. You’ll need to take out a particularly lethal Rancor in Koboh to get it. But, given how much of an advantage this gives you in combat, Shatter is worth the hassle.

  1. Marksmanship

“Simple but effective” is a phrase best used to describe the Marksmanship Perk. When equipped, this perk increases the damage of Cal’s blaster shots in the Blaster Stance. It isn’t for everybody but if you prefer this stance, this is an absolute must-have.

To get your hands on it, go to the Stone Spires close to the Grand Courtyard Meditation Point around the Devastated Settlement area in Koboh. Climb up the second vines seat close to the shortcut rope where you can interact with a Force Essence to get it.

  1. Wisdom

Don’t let the plethora of XP-related Perk options available in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fool you. This is the only one that’s worth getting.

The best XP Perk doesn’t come with a catch. It just gives you more XP for beating enemies. Get it as soon as Zee’s Datadisc Decryption is available to make levelling up less of a chore.

  1. Persistence

Many times in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you’ll find yourself in the thick of things and surrounded by loads of enemies. This is where the Persistence Perk comes in handy.

After completing the Chamber of Fortitude, this two-slot Perk will save your life in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor more than you can count. All you need to do is to activate the Slow ability, defeat your enemies, and regain health.

  1. Perplexity

The Jedi Mind trick is real. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you can use the “Confusion” Force ability to turn enemies against each other. Having the “Perplexity” Perk helps boost the damage of this ability, making it easier to defeat enemies even after they’ve regained their senses.
