Acer announced the Predator XB273K monitor during IFA and it includes just about every feature you could hope to find in a single display.
The monitor offers native 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR support and also comes with an Nvidia G-Sync module nicely tucked in.
The difference between this Predator and its sister monitor, the Predator X27 (aside from being pricier), stands in the peak brightness rating. It is 400 nits rated and has a certified DisplayHDR 400, while the X27 is capable of hitting 1000 nits and is DisplayHDR 1000 certified.
According to Acer, the monitor can cover 90% of the DCI-P3 color range and 100% of the sRGB palette. In order to reduce reflections also while increasing color accuracy, the Predator XB273K comes with a light-shielding hood.
The monitor is still not super affordable, standing at $1299, but it is around $700 cheaper than the X27, which makes it somewhat more attainable.
Thanks to the Predator XB273K, the company made 4Kp144 G-Sync games just a bit more accessible, true, but those who might want to purchase the monitor have to keep in mind that it will still require an Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series graphics card with a fresh VBIOS and a DisplayPort 1.4.
The monitor will hit the market in the fourth quarter.
