The season of leaks is here, at least as far as OnePlus goes – the phone has been receiving quite a bit of attention from the rumor mill these days and the latest leak, which arrives with a handful of specs in tow, if true, show that the upcoming smartphone will be quite the upgrade over the OnePlus 7.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal is responsible for this new piece of information and, according to him, the phone will feature a 6.55 inch Super AMOLED 90hz Display, which is quite the boost from the OnePlus 7. The refresh rate will bump up the resolution to Quad HD. It will have a 3,800mAh battery alongside the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.
RAM support will come in the form of 6GB/ 8GB RAM and from 128GB to 256GB worth of storage, same as the OnePlus 7.
On the front, the smartphone will have a waterdrop notch with minimal bezels, which will host a 16MP camera while the rear will hold a triple camera setup. This arrangement will be made out of a the same 48MP main snapper that the OnePlus 7 has but also an additional 16MP and 12MP combination.
According to Agarwal, the smartphone will also offer 960fps super slow-motion video capabilities but this particular detail is a little strange as 48MP sensors don’t have the necessary DRAM that native 960fps needs.
The phone will arrive in Frosted Silver and Haze Blue color options and OnePlus will offer free cloud storage to the users for an entire year.
The last piece of information states that the OnePlus 7T and the Pro variant will launch in India on September 26th. For now, there’s no news or rumors concerning the Pro option but undoubtedly, we’ll hear something about it quite soon.
