According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is designing a series of updates to its iPad line, including a new iPad mini and a version of the first iPad.
With better processors and upgraded cameras, it seems like the refreshed designs will resemble the new iPad Pros, spotting larger screens – 11-inch and 12.9-inc – with improved contrast ratios and less susceptible to burn-in than OLED screens.
The report also mentions that Apple has tested its new iPad Pros with a Thunderbolt, the port that transfers data faster than the USB-C port currently running on iPad Pros.
According to Bloomberg, the new version is likely to integrate a Mini LED screen, with a higher contrast ratio rate.
The company would start mass production of Mini LED iPads in “mid to late April,” company analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed. Moreover, his research note issued today revealed that he anticipates a Mini LED MacBook Air to arrive by 2022.
The refreshed the base iPad in September, while the upcoming iPad with a brand new design will arrive sometime this year
